Every year the Chamber, like many non-profit member driven organizations, conducts a comprehensive recruitment campaign. These efforts are aimed at recruiting not only new members, but gaining new sponsorships, advertising dollars and participation in the organization. This comprehensive campaign, the Chamber’s Total Resource Campaign (TRC), is in its’ eleventh year. It has proven very successful in helping the Chamber in meeting its’ many goals and giving our members unique opportunities to market their business to a targeted audience. The 2017-2018 campaign has ten volunteers working together to benefit the organization and its’ members. Our campaign slogan is “Building Business for a Strong Community.”
As with so many of the Chamber’s efforts, the TRC relies on volunteers to have a successful campaign. This year we are fortunate to have Tiffany Ervin, owner of Elite Repeats Boutique and Randy Hunter, owner of Hunter Automotive Group stepping up to provide leadership and support for the campaign and the volunteers. The campaign team consists of Roy Dickerson with Cascades Mountain Resort, Graham Fields with Park Ridge Health, Candi Guffey with Flat Rock Playhouse, Nikki Hopkins with Champion Credit Union, Lee Love with First Citizens Bank, Melanie Matteson with Hendersonville Lightning, Angela Vaughan owner of Fitness Masters and Ragan Ward with Carolina Alliance Bank.
The TRC is a concentrated, Chamber-wide effort designed to maximize sponsorships of Chamber events and products. The ten campaign volunteers reach out to many of the 1,000 plus Henderson County Chamber members to help them determine how to effectively use marketing dollars to support the programs of the Chamber that support their business interests. The dollars secured during the TRC are used to support the strategic plan of the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce through its advocacy and programming efforts. The group works together as “One Team” and prizes are awarded as the team reaches certain predetermined milestones. The ultimate reward, if the highest goal is achieved by the team, will include a trip to a destination determined by the volunteers.
The Chamber has a number of sponsorship opportunities each year that are not fully utilized, but could be unique opportunities for you to get your business name in front of your Chamber member peers. Sponsorship of events provides name recognition, association with a particular event, advertising (email, newsletter, website, social media), public relations and more. We hope that by including these opportunities in this campaign we will be able to identify members who may match-up well with certain sponsorship options. The effort will focus on finding the companies that can benefit the most from each opportunity.
