Southern Appalachian Brewery has been awarded the Small Business Leader of the Quarter for the 1st Quarter of 2015 by the Small Business Committee of the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce. This award is given to a company that has served Henderson County for more than three years, has grown to employ workers in our community and who has given back to the community through non-profit avenues.

Owned by Kelly and Andy Cubbin, Southern Appalachian Brewery is a craft brewery celebrating its 4th year in the Historic 7th Avenue District of downtown Hendersonville. The brewery creates quality, small batch craft brewed beers plus a variety of Seasonals, Barrel Aged beers and a pilot system series. The tasting room is a family friendly gathering place with a large outdoor courtyard complete with games, food trucks and live music.

SAB hosts a number of special events each year benefiting local non-profits. Kelly and Andy are proud to support many local and regional non-profit charities through various fundraisers and donations. The Blue Ridge Humane Society, Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy, Council on Aging, Henderson County Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Henderson County, Habitat for Humanity, Art on Main and Mountain Tru are just a few examples of the groups SAB have helped promote and fund.

“We are proud to be Hendersonville’s first craft brewery and are continually grateful to our community for their continued support and love of craft beer”, said Kelly.
